Subtle layers of warm, glowing yellows and oranges, interrupted by unexpected pinks and deep reds, take the eye on a journey of discovery. These brush strokes hark back to the flax works in my earlier botanical series
The Zest series evolved from a desire to create a body of work which, while maintaining my love for bold, vibrant colour, also provided a more minimalist and calming composition.
The use of Indian Yellow throughout the series, creates a strong peaceful connection between the paintings.
