Seeming layers of land, sea, and submergence keep the eye searching. Subtle layers of washes and glazes create depth and mystery. I got lost in this one while painting, and hope you can lose yourself in it too.
The Zest series evolved from a desire to create a body of work which, while maintaining my love for bold, vibrant colour, also provided a more minimalist and calming composition.
The use of Indian Yellow throughout the series, creates a strong peaceful connection between the paintings.
