Vessels of Light is an evolution into a more minimalist abstract form for me. Drawing out the nuances of shades of green, giving a feeling of light and peace. There is still a connection to my botanical paintings in the subtle organic shapes in the work.
The Zest series evolved from a desire to create a body of work which, while maintaining my love for bold, vibrant colour, also provided a more minimalist and calming composition.
The use of Indian Yellow throughout the series, creates a strong peaceful connection between the paintings.
