ZEST evolved from a desire to create a body of work which, while maintaining my love for vibrant colour, also provides a more minimalist and calming composition.

The use of Indian Yellow throughout the series creates a strong, peaceful connection between the paintings.

The chaotic happenings in the world in recent times, including in my private space, have led me down this path in an effort to find some peace and rest for my mind.

Serendipity stepped in when, due to a space in their exhibition calendar, the lovely folk at Imprint found a window for me to show the work in its entirety.

I would love to see you at the opening night 24 October, as part of the Art Lovers Street Party from 5.30 pm to 7.00 pm at The Incubator. You will find ZEST at Imprint Gallery just along from The Inc.

BOP Open Studios

While I have your attention!

I'd love to see you again at my studio during next month's BOP Open Studios event. The event is free, you don't need tickets, just look up which studios you are interested in and hop along and meet the artists.

This year, the event is being run by the organisers of the Garden and Art Festival.

It was such a huge success last year, and I am really looking forward to seeing everyone again 21-23 November. My studio is Number 24 in the trail this year.

Printed maps are currently being distributed around the town, and of course, the Google Maps version is available online.
