Tauranga September Original Art Art Expo - 25-28 September
I am looking forward to sharing, for the first time, work from my latest series 'Zest'. Experimenting with a limited palette over this year has led to some new and exciting abstract work, based around the colour yellow. Six of which will be displayed as part of the upcoming Tauranga Art Expo.
Shown on the left, 'Vessels of Light' one of six works which will be on show at the Expo.
The intention behind these paintings was to create compositions which, although vibrant and vital in colour, still convey a feeling of space and calm.
It is always exciting to bring to fruition a new idea, and I am excited to share the results with you at the upcoming Original Art Expo.
BOP Open Studios Trail - 21-23 November 2025
After the huge success of the inaugural Open Studios Trail event in February of last year, I am thrilled to be involved in the upcoming second trail happening in November 2025.
Last year's event saw thousands of people visit more than 80 artists' studios open to the public all around Tauranga and Western Bay, and I was proud to have been one of the team behind organising the inaugural event, and am very happy to see it continue under the capable stewardship of the Garden and Art Festival team.
Last year, I was lucky enough to share my studio space with my good friend and potter Jane Clark, who has since moved to Taupo, so I will be participating on my own this November, and I'm really going to miss her beautiful pottery and all the laughs we had.
I am so looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting lots of new ones too. Keep an eye on my Instagram feed for updates on the event

On display for the event, you will see some of my 'Zest' series, along with my colourful Positive Botanical pieces. There will also be Giclee prints and cards available for purchase. Over the weekend of the event, I will also be working on an ongoing piece, so you can get a little more insight into my process.
