This year I am very excited to be exhibiting my art in a large Te Puna country garden, number 13 on the Garden Trail. It is quite appropriately called 'Birdsong Retreat', and with the lush bush, serene lake and even a redwood forest area, the birdsong is a wonderful additional sensation. Along with roses and lovely walkways, it promises to be a fabulous setting to showcase my art.
As well as my bright, positive, botanical work, I will be bringing along a few pieces from my new series 'Coastal Connections' it is still very much evolving so you will be the first to get a sneak preview.
This bright beauty 'Summer Passion' is another work which will be on display during the event. It was awarded 'Best Acrylic' in this year's Tauranga Society of Artists Spring Competition, which was very exciting!.
It was started during April's Original Art Expo, so some of you may have seen it's early stages.
I'm really looking forward to seeing all of you during the festival. It promises to be a fabulous event this year, with Bloom in the Bay being situated in downtown Tauranga. A great opportunity to see the new downtown developments that have been evolving! See you there!
